Dalraida Baptist is a Partner in Education with our local community school, Dalraida Elementary. This partnership is rooted first and foremost in covering the school, its staff, students, and their families, in constant prayer. Dalraida Elementary students and families are the heart of our community, and we want to love them in Jesus!
Over the years we have partnered with Dalraida Elementary in many facets including raising funds, donating school supplies, volunteering at school events, providing teacher luncheons for their hardworking staff, hosting their annual kindergarten graduation, and providing support to student families in times of need and tragedy. Dalraida Baptist loves Dalraida Elementary!
At least once a year, usually around Thanksgiving or Christmas, Dalraida Baptist hosts a Meal Kit Giveaway for our community. Through our partnership with Food Outlet and the generous giving of church members, we are able to pack bags with everything a family needs for a holiday meal! In the past, kits have included ham, vegetables, cake mix, rolls, eggs, and more.
Our Meal Kit Giveaway is open to all families in the Dalraida Community and provides kits on a first come, first serve basis. As individuals and families drive through our parking lot, we are able to connect with them, pray with them, and provide a meal for them. On average, we have been able to minister to 250+ families every year!
Over the past couple of years, Dalraida Baptist has hosted a Backpack Giveaway Carnival! Dalraida Community families have been invited to come for free food, drinks, shaved ice, face painting, inflatables, and games in our back field. Through this time of fun, we have been able to connect with parents, grandparents, guardians, aunts, uncles, kids…the whole family!
Before receiving their free backpacks filled with school supplies, our pastor has shared with everyone attending the best free gift available to them: salvation through Jesus Christ. We celebrate how every year the Holy Spirit has moved during this time and brought individuals to saving faith through the Gospel being presented!
First Choice Women’s Medical Center educates, supports, and empowers women facing unplanned pregnancies with compassionate and professional medical care. From pregnancy testing to confirmation ultrasounds to Earn While You Learn parenting classes, all services are free and confidential.
Dalraida Baptist partners with First Choice by participating in Project Life Change, an annual drive during which our members fill baby bottles with monetary change and cash. Once collected, all donations go directly to First Choice to help fund their services so that they can remain free for clients.
Our Dalraida Kids, Kindergarten-6th Grade, help to stock First Choice’s parent store with bundled diapers paired with letters of encouragement and prayers for new moms and dads. We are excited for the opportunity to grow our partnership with First Choice even more in the future!
Community of Hope’s mission is to meet physical needs of families from the River Region by fostering positive relationships through encouragement and prayer. The outcome builds trust and begins relationships that often lead to opportunities to share the gospel of Christ! Their desire is for families to know there is H.O.P.E. for every situation they face and, it’s found in a relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior!
